Goodbye 2018. Hello 2019

If you follow my personal Facebook account or my public Instagram account, you may have already seen this. I am sharing it here anyway because it’s one of my goals for the New Year. I haven’t written them out yet, but I already know that I’d like to write LESS posts on my social media accounts, and write more posts on my blog. I know that it’s probably technically also considered social media, but I just want to cut back on the sharing. It’s too much. I need to enjoy my life. I already shared my thoughts on the New Year, but I will here as well because life was hard in 2018 for so many people, and they’re all the strongest people I know. Here are my thoughts:

This year was tough as hell, but not just on me. I saw so many people dealing with personal tragedy, unfair situations, and heartbreak. In these people, I saw brave faces, perseverance, love, and kindness. Life is hard, but I’m surrounded by strong and inspirational people. I’m grateful for them, and I hope that 2019 is a little easier on our hearts. If you’re going through hell, keep on going has been my motto more than once in my life. That being said, I’m going into 2019 with gratitude. I’m grateful for the people in my life near and far. I’m grateful for my life. I’m grateful for the wonderful moments of 2018. I’m grateful I have the opportunity to stay home, watch my son grow, and be able to write every night. I’m grateful I’m following my dream, and have a plan for 2019 to continue following my dreams. I’m grateful we’ve survived this sad year.
Happy New Year to all my friends and family, and thank you for being in our life.

It’s big for a Facebook/Instagram post, but looks so small here on my blog. It’s not quite midnight here, and my only real goal is to ring in the New Year while writing. It doesn’t matter what sort of writing I choose. As long as I’m writing. It seems like a good tradition. I’ll hopefully have a post tomorrow that’s more specific to my 2019 goals. I don’t make resolutions. I make goals. Goals to help me follow my dreams.

I don’t have much else to say at the moment, I just wanted to share my New Year’s message. Happy 2019 to you all. Here are some photos of my year.
