Back to my blog

It’s been much more than a week since my last blog post. I took a break, and now it’s time to get back to it. I went so hard on February that I’ve had trouble getting back into writing this month.

The month is almost over. I’m still trying to write everyday, but it’s not been going as well as it should. I have to hold myself accountable, and start writing more. I will.

Starting with this post. I’m going to keep it simple today. I’ll just share some of our fun from the month.

This photo was actually taken in February, but I just received them last week. We did family photos with my parents and sister. This is one of them. I thought it was a funny one. Kerry’s Photography did the photos for us, and we chose to do them at a library. It was a great day.

Something great has happened in March. The weather has improved. We can go outside without the air hurting our throats when we try to breathe. In fact, the snow is melting. I’m from Saskatchewan which means I’m a realist about the weather. I expect it to snow again, but until then, I am going to enjoy this time outside with everything I can. We’ve been spending time outside as much as possible.

We celebrated the first birthday of one of our favourite places for kids in Saskatoon. We go to Learn and Play Cafe as much as we can. They have stories and crafts, as well as a great play area for kids. Parents can sit and enjoy a cup of coffee or food from the cafe while watching their kids play. I love everybody who works there, and we were really excited to go to the celebration. They had a three day celebration. We went the day they had a reptile show. I did something I never thought I would do, and Anthony had no fear.

And of course… we did crafts and activities.

It’s been a good month. I have had a lot of fun with my son. He frustrates me a lot because he knows how to test me, but he’s so interesting and funny now. I love watching him learn. He has new sentences and words every day. He tries new things. He’s loving, but also learning more about being kind. I’m learning from him every day. He sings. He jokes. He smiles. Sometimes he cries. Sometimes he yells. Every day is something new.

We were holding hands the other day, and he told me that our hands were hugging. I hope I never forget that moment. So sweet.

Okay, I’ll be back on Monday with a new post. I’ll have a plan, and get back to my blogging. As I’ve probably said before, I’m aiming for 2 to 3 times a week.

Have a great weekend!
