It’s a new month, which means I’ve made more writing goals for myself. As well as more life plans. What’s life without goals?
I plan to blog everyday again this month, but it’s going to be a bit different. I’ll be doing shorter posts so I can focus on other writing at the same time. I did some Pinterest searches, and have started filling up my blogging journal with 30 day challenges. Some are prompts, others are self care, some are for decluttering, and some are gratitude. I’ll be switching up the post each day. I will be picking it in the morning, and then writing about it later. I’ll write some of my own as well.
In February, I tried to have the post done the night before, and I shared it in the morning the next day. I don’t think I’m going to be able to do that this month. I’m just going to write them when I can during the day or night. I have a lot of other writing and editing on my list so this won’t be the only priority. It will be done though.
I’m going to start the month with a pretty easy one.
What are you most grateful for today?
I’m grateful that my partner is home. I’m grateful that he spent most of his day with our son so I could write. I’m grateful that my son makes me laugh every day. We usually take turns with Anthony, but I needed some time to focus on myself today. Yesterday, every spare moment without my kid I was cleaning or organizing or doing something that took a lot of energy. By the end of the day, I was exhausted. I loved getting things done, but I was mentally and physically exhausted. Today, I was able to spend an hour on the elliptical, take a bath, write, hang out with my family, and try out a new recipe. I won’t be able to do it everyday, but it was definitely a good day. Also, my kid wore his pjs all day. We got dressed, but he had no interest.
I also got a post done for the Saskatoon Zoo Foundation, and I had time to do some planning for the month. I’ll have this one done as well. All in all, it’s been a very good day. They’re all good days though. I am always incredibly grateful because even on the absolute worst days, there is something I can be thankful for.
