Eff the Mom Guilt

On April 10, 2019 By Writing Momma ErinIn Mom Life, Writing LifeLeave a comment

I'm trying to write as much as I can, but I can't write everyday this month. I don't want to stress myself out, I just want to write. I'm feeling a lot of anxiety lately, and writing helps with that, but it doesn't have to be my blog. I'll my focusing on some journal writing …

Self Care part two

On February 6, 2019February 5, 2019 By Writing Momma ErinIn Blog Post Challenges, Mom Life2 Comments

Day Six I decided to split self care into two posts. I wanted to make a self care post dedicated to exercise. First, a little information about my exercise life. I don't love it. When I was in high school, I hated every second of gym classes. I wasn't good at sports. I was clutzy, …

Self Care

Day Five Self Care is a big and important topic. It goes well with Self Love. Some days, you have to remember you. Love you. Care for you. As a Momma, I forget about self care, but I also took almost everything I did for myself for granted before I was a mom. There are …

A Month Of Writing

On February 1, 2019February 1, 2019 By Writing Momma ErinIn Blog Post Challenges, Crafty Crafter Corner, Mom Life, Photos, Travel, Writing LifeLeave a comment

Day One Here I go! Day one of 28 days of writing in a row. Today's post will basically just be a 'table of contents' of what I plan to write this month. There is no particular theme to my post ideas, but because February is a month where love is the focus, I choose …

Beach day next to the Christmas tree. Hopefully it will give me time to get some more Christmas cards done. So glad the sandbox is covered and accessible. ♥️♥️ #winterbeachday #momlife #writingmom #yxe #yxemom #saskatoon #saskatoonmom
I'm kind of a mess lately. Last month was busy with writing and family stuff. I left all the Christmas stuff till this month. I have goodies to bake. Christmas crafts to do. Christmas cards to write and send out. And a donation drive to do (filling shoe boxes for women who could use some love this year - thanks to all who have donated!) I have presents to buy and wrap. And the writing I neglected last month. Also, taking care of and learning to be more patient with the most stubborn toddler who recently has decided that listening is crazy, and sleep is unimportant. There's probably other stuff but my brain can only do a couple tasks a night. Also in this picture, I am pointing at the chocolate that has been on my forehead for a couple of hours now. I mean, I could have eaten that! I just have to breathe, and be okay with things not being perfect. I've never been perfect, why start now? How are you this holiday season? #yxe #yxemom #saskatoon #saskatoonmom #yougotthismama #writingmom #tistheseason #justeatthechocolate
I was really lucky to be in this location at this time of night. Beautiful. #yxe #yxemom #saskatoonshines #saskatoon #landofthelivingskies
This month I wrote 50 thousand words for Nanowrimo. In the last two days, I've written 10 thousand of those words. I didn't know if I'd be able to do it, and I did. Now I have to actually finish my novel. Not done writing, just a wonderful milestone. Also today: I made a Santa out of Lego. I don't love Lego so this was basically the best thing I've ever created. So all in all, a good day. Nanowrimo winner AND Santa Lego creator. Which is better? Who knows. #nanowrimowinner @nanowrimo #nanowrimo2019 #momlife #writingmom #yxemom #writinglife #legosanta
Taking Anthony out to help me shovel is a combination of my heart melting because of how much he loves the snow, and also me yelling, "Don't dump it in the sidewalk, I just shovelled it there!" It's a strange combination, but it works.
If you're in Saskatoon, please give @thebackyard_sk some love. Oh my gosh, did we ever have a good time. It's been a rough week with some bad nights with no sleep, and this is the night we needed. Nothing but fun and laughter from Anthony. This translates to fun and laughter for me. I'm so grateful we got to try it out tonight. We will be visiting often. Thanks so much @jennhumble for thinking of us! #yxe #saskatoon #yxemom #yxemoms #saskatoonmoms #toddlerfun #yxeweekend #momlife
